The Binion’s Casino has had much press over the years, being associated with Ted Binion and his unexpected death back in the 90s, but has overcome the hardships of Vegas and survived as one of the staple poker rooms in Sin City. Paying homage to the history of the iconic casino, a spanking new Poker Room has opened at Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel. Poker aficionados who make that first crusade to Las Vegas to sit at the tables of legends at the homestead of poker in the very chairs kept warm by poker greats such as Doyle Brunson, will no longer be disappointed by the reality of the somewhat rough and used facilities that preceded the new space. Long gone are the days when you could smell the cigarette smoke of poker legends in the air.
The establishment has already seen major updates such as the newly reconfigured casino floor and the addition of the Benny’s Bullpen Sports Bar & Cigar Lounge. Binion’s also plans to renovate all of their 366 hotel rooms in the near future. The new Poker Room houses ten poker tables running 24/7 in a new, contemporary setting. Now players can sit in more ergonomic chairs, explore the historic photographs that hang on the walls, and watch the 11 plasma TVs that are spaced throughout the room. Another advantage is that now visitors can get tableside food and beverage service, as the new room also houses two full-service bars on either side.
