2009 Wynn Classic Poker Tournament Series Begins Today

The 2009 Wynn Classic poker tournament series kicks off today with single table satellites at none other than the Wynn Las Vegas. This is the third year of the tournament. The first tournament on the schedule is a $500 no limit hold’em event that begins at noon on Thursday, February 26. The tournament series features 17 events as well as a $10,000 championship, all of which is eligible for Player of the Year points. There are many options available with something for every player including no limit hold’em, Omaha eight or better and pot limit Omaha. A super satellite day for the $10,000 championship event is scheduled for Sunday, March 15. A $1,060 super satellite begins at noon that same day and a $545 super satellite at 7 pm.
The championship event gets under way on Monday, March 16 with the tournament series wrapping up at the end of the final table in the championship event on Thursday, March 19. Players will begin with 30,000 in chips and blinds begin at 25-50 to start on Day 1. All levels will be 90 minutes long.
