Every year a few poker players breakthrough, and go from unknown pros eking out a living to top players with a million in the bank and a sponsorship deal in hand.
The following group of players has proven themselves to be consistent winners in 2010, as well as putting in the time and energy to make their dreams come true at the poker tables. Here is a look at the three poker players who have turned the most productive 2010 poker campaigns.
Dwyte Pilgrim - Pilgrim is currently the leader on the Card Player Magazine Player of the Year leader-board. Many of his points were accumulated on the WSOP Circuit Series where Pilgrim has been a beast at the tables. Dwyte finally broke through with a major win when he captured the WPT Borgata Poker Open title.

- Won over $1.1 million in tournaments during 2010
- Current leader in the Card Player Magazine Player of the Year race
- Seven 1st place finishes in 2010
- WPT Borgata Poker Open Champion
- Final tabled the Mixed Holdem event at the WSOP
- Cashed in the 2010 WSOP Main Event
Tom Marchese - Marchese put his name on the map by being one of the most prolific poker tournament players of all-time: If there was a major poker tournament happening in some corner of the world in 2010 chances are Marchese was there! Barbero was able to take his LAPT success to Europe late in 2010 and breakthrough for his first big win outside of the Latin American Poker Tour with a win in the £20,000 High-Roller Event at the European Poker Tour London Stop -his third six figure score of 2010 and at $870k his largest to date.
