A look back at Day 29 of the 2011 WSOP: Epic heads-up duel and Full Tilt license suspended

Most of the headlines today will be taken up by the major news coming out of the UK that Full Tilt Poker has had their eGaming license suspended by the Aldernay Gambling Control Commission (AGCC). Full Tilt has been ordered to cease all operations for clients around the world and visitors will now be met with “Down for Maintenance” when they attempt to log into the site. You can read the official statement released by the AGCC on the matter here.
However there was also some serious action at the WSOP on Tuesday.
Event #43: $1,500 No Limit Holdem, Day 4
In onew of the better heads-up matches ever seen at the WSOP, Andre Akkari overcame a nearly 3-to-1 chip deficit to beat online poker pro Nachman “TheLandlord” Berlin to win his first WSOP bracelet on Tuesday. The two battled back and forth for most of the match , but as the blinds and antes increased it was Akkari who would win the decisive hands.

Event #44: $2,500 Razz, Day 4
Another tournament that was affected by the 10-Level Rule on Monday was the Razz tournament, and when the two remaining players returned to the Rio on Tuesday Ralph “Rep” Porter was able to make short work of Stephen Su to capture the title.
Event #45: $1,000 No Limit Holdem, Day 3
Finally a tournament that was completed in just three days! The $1k NLHE bracelet would end up around the wrist of Ken Griffin after a long day of play that saw Antonio Esfandiari seesaw up and down the leader-board before eventually bowing out in 7th place.
