At long last, Mac users can rejoice. Your options at the table are now a bit wider and better. In a recent move, online Poker Room, Bodog launched an Instant Play option that allows Mac users to play on its software in a web browser. There are limitations to the option however, it is limited to one table only which means multi-tabling wont be available any time in the near future. Bodog’s Instant Play version is limited to cash game tables only. So, players who want to play in the site’s weekly $100,000 Guaranteed or its Flight Club tournaments, will still need to install its regular software to do so. The good news is that the Instant Play software opens in only a few seconds, getting you to the tables with less wait.
Similar Instant Play options are available for Party Poker which allows the site’s Mac faithful to play on up to four tables at the same time. There are also web based interfaces that typically use Flash or Java to operate, are available to players on Absolute Poker, Sun Poker and 888’s Pacific Poker along with others. The ability to log onto Bodog and play in a browser is ideal when using a computer other than your own as well as not having to go through the software downloading process. Bodog players can now bypass that hassle. Instant Play is limited to Texas Hold’em though players who like single table hold’em action will feel right at home with the software.
