Six people will battle for the title of World Poker Tour in San Jose, California. The final table is set for Steve Brecher, Tony Behari, Chris Moore, Kathy Liebert, Thao Le and Chau Vu.
As Brecher leads the table with 2.06 million chips, he is also the perceived favorite of the tournament. His sixth place win in second season at Bellagio will always be remembered. The tournament alone made him $232,000 richer and Bricher is now in Full Tilt to win another honor for his name.
Upon interviews by Live Updates hostess, Amanda Leatherman, Brecher just said,
“It’s great to be back. My day was great for most of it. I dwindled some in the last couple of levels.”
Behari will also mark his debut at the WPT final table closing in the gap with Brecher and the impressive run of Kathy Liebert. Liebert was the holder of Limit Hold’em Shootout in 2004 and won the World Championship of Pot Limit Hold’em in 2008. With these titles in her belt, she might just be the “dark horse” to win on Friday.
Waiting for the first placer is a whopping $1,025,500 and half a million for the second. For those who rank third to sixth, they will received prize cash of not more than $300,00.
