Brandon Schaefer wins NLHE Shootout

Todd Brunson finishes 2nd in $5k Stud 8 tournament

It was a star-studded final day in the $5k Seven-Card-Stud event, considering the remaining 19 players in the field included Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, Todd Brunson, recent bracelet winner John Monnette, and Bryn Kenney. But in the end it was Adam Friedman who would take home the bracelet and the nearly $270k that was set aside for the winner.

$10k Pot Limit Holdem

179 of the best poker players in the world showed up for the $10k PLH tournament on Friday, and when it was timed to bag and tag their chips there were only 69 players left in the running. Here is a look at the Top 10 chip-counts heading into Saturday’s Day 2:

  3. Sean Dempsey – 170,200

$1,500 NLHE 6-Max down to 9 players

Saturday’s final table is going to be a star-studded affair, with Mike Matusow gunning for his fourth WSOP bracelet, and longtime tournament grinder Matt Glantz looking for his first. Joining the two at the final table will be several other well-known players including Mark Radoja and Matt Matros. Here is a look at the final 9 players’ chip-counts:

$2,500 Razz

One of the most frustrating forms of poker is Razz, but the Razz tournaments at the WSOP still draw some very good numbers every year. The $2,500 Razz event attracted 309 players, mostly professionals, with 136 players making it through to Day 2.
