Is Victory Poker The Next Big Thing In Online Poker?

One of the newest online poker sites to enter the market is Victory Poker, which operates on the US-friendly Everleaf Poker Network. The difference between Victory Poker and the hundreds of other upstart online poker-rooms is how they first entered the market: Victory Poker came in with a bang, and not a whimper. Victory Poker has already amassed a huge collection of sponsored Poker Pros to go along with the sites headliner, Antonio “The Magician” Esfandiari.

The Everleaf Network has gone from an average of 100 players, to over 400 players in less than 6-months, and a lot of this traffic increase is due to the addition of Victory Poker, which officially launched in February 2010. Continuing at this pace of growth would catapult the Everleaf Network into the top 10 by the end of the year-The Everleaf Network coming from nowhere to the top 10 would be one of the biggest poker stories of the year.

Sponsored pros are huge for online poker rooms, not only does it get the site’s brand out at tournaments, in interviews, and so on, but most of the big-name poker players have huge followings on Facebook and Twitter, and not a day goes by where I don’t see a mention of Victory Poker in my Facebook status updates.

Team Victory currently consists of front-man Antonio Esfandiari, 2007 Playmate of the year and poker enthusiast Sara Underwood, Andrew “Good2CU” Robl, Keith “The Machine” Gipson, Brian Rast, Dan “Blitz” Bilzerian, Paul Wasicka, Lee Markholt, Danny “Chinese Poker Wizard” Wong, backgammon champion Sander Lylloff, Alec Torelli (who was one of the Brunson 10 before joining Victory Poker), David “The Maven” Chicotsky, Steven Weusten, James Obst, Adam Hourani, Jason Lavelle and Jonathan Little.

This group of players represents one of the strongest poker contingents that will appear at major tournaments around the globe. Victory Poker in a few short months has already put together a team to rival PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, and that blows away any other poker site. They’ve also selected a strong mix of players from both tournaments and cash games, as well as from both Brick & Mortar poker and the online poker arena.

In addition to their poker playing professional, Victory Poker also signed Joe Navarro, a former FBI agent who is an expert on body language and tells, as well as Sam Chauhan who Victory bills as their mind-set coach.

With what Victory Poker has accomplished in a few short months, and with the talent backing them up I see Victory Poker taking online poker to a whole new level in the near future. They seem to be collecting talent to not only represent the site, but to also form a radio/podcast network, or even an online poker training site? Or perhaps some other yet unexplored endeavors; at Victory Poker the sky seems to be the limit.
