LAPT Stops in Vina del Este Chile Tomorrow

The Poker Stars Latin American Poker Tour is set to make its inaugural stop in Vina del Mar, Chile starting on January 20, 2009. The tournament is scheduled to last for three days and features a buy in of $2,500 for the no limit hold’em main event. The "Garden City" as its known, is playing host to Team Poker Stars pros Andre Akkari and Alexandre Gomes who is coming straight from a fourth place finish at the 2009 Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure. Also in attendance will be the 2008 World Series of Poker main event finalist, Ylon Schwartz. The pros will be taking on several hundreds of players who will try to stake their claim at poker fame in the exciting and expanding Latin American poker market by winning the first Latin American Poker Tour Chile title.
The event in Chile is the third stop on the Latin American Poker Tour Season Two schedule and is the halfway point of the season. The last two stops on the schedule will include a return visit to Punta del Este, Uruguay and another new locale and final stop in Mar del Plata, Argentina.
