PokerTableRatings does side-by-side comparison of poker coaches

Have you ever wondered how successful the different coaches from the poker training sites really are? Well the data-mining poker site pokertableratings.com has taken the first step in the process, releasing the win-rates, total winnings, and number of hands of some of the most famous poker coaches from four different sites: Deuces Cracked, Drag the Bar, Leggo Poker, and PokerNews Strategy.

While the data compiled by pokertableratings doesn’t tell the whole story -only cash games are tracked, not to mention that only the players “known” screen-names are used-it does give players a glimpse into the skills and abilities for these coaches.

Here is a look at the Poker coaches PokerTableRatings.com compares:

Six coaches from Leggo Poker:

  • o Aaron ‘AEJones’ Jones
  • o Andrew ‘LuckyChewy’ Lichtenberger
  • o Richard ‘nutsinho’ Lyndaker
  • o Ashton ‘TheAshman103′ Griffin
  • o Reid ‘LOLOLOLOLOL’ Young
  • o Matt ‘Mcballa001′ Carrier

11 coaches from Deuces Cracked:

  • o Dani ‘Ansky451′ Stern
  • o Jay ‘pr1nnyraid’ Rosenkrantz
  • o Ariel ‘DaEvils’ Schneller
  • o Emil ‘WhiteLime’ Patel
  • o Aaron ‘WiltOnTilt’ Wilt
  • o Vanessa ‘V. Selbst’ Selbst
  • o Luke ‘IWEARGOGGLES’ Staudenmaier
  • o Dan ‘DJ Sensei’ Morris
  • o Sean ‘justforfunds’ Nolan
  • o Jeremy ‘OnTheRail15′ Heartberg
  • o Joe ‘JoeTall’ Tall

Four coaches from Drag the Bar:

  • o Dusty ‘Leatherass9′ Schmidt
  • o Ross ‘milwaukee2′ Hartung
  • o Matt ‘mbolt1′ Bolt
  • o James ‘hellopuppy’ Davis

Six coaches from PokerNews Strategy:

  • o Randy ‘nanonoko’ Lew
  • o Scott ‘URnotINdanger2′ Palmer
  • o Evan ‘MacDaddy34′ Panesis
  • o John ‘UMD Tennis’ O’Rourke
  • o Kane ‘Nascar_1949′ Kalas
  • o Josh ‘LitleBastrd’ Tieman

Now players can see precisely what kind of results these players are putting up at the online poker tables. Players looking for tournament coaching can turn to other tracking sites for online poker tournaments -Card Player Magazine’s player statistics use both live and online results -but only track the major online poker tournaments-or browse thehendonmob.com’s extensive live poker database, which I find to be the most accurate and useful resource for poker tournament results.

Of the coaches examined by pokertableratings.com most are at the very least mid 6-figure winners, with nanonoko, macdaddy34, litlebastrd, aejones, nutsinho, and theashman103 surpassing the million dollar mark.

Perhaps the number that jumps out the most is the number of hands Randy ‘nanonoko’ Lew has put in at the online poker tables; an astounding 4,268,309!!!
