Two bracelets to be awarded at WSOPE Wednesday

After Antonio Esfandiari won his third WSOP bracelet on Tuesday it will be hard for the World Series of Poker Europe to one-up that performance on Wednesday. That said, with a pair of bracelets being awarded on Wednesday, and final tables that include names like Mike Mizrachi, Joe Hachem, Jason Mercier, Daniel Negreanu, and Phil Hellmuth, Wednesday’s headlines may very well be bigger than Tuesday’s!

Here is a look at the tournaments that will be in action on Wednesday:

Event #3: €5,300 PLO

The final nine players in the €5k PLO tournament are now set, and with names like Mike Mizrachi, Jason Mercier, and Joe Hachem the final table will likely draw a lot of attention from the poker world.

Here is a look at the final table chip-counts heading into Wednesday’s action:

  1. Roger Hairabedian – 335,000
  2. Ville Mattila – 297,500
  3. Michael Mizrachi – 211,500
  4. Jussi Ryynanen – 168,500
  5. Joe Hachem – 148,000
  6. Jussi Nevanlinna – 87,000
  7. Michel Abecassis – 85,500
  8. Jason Mercier – 75,500
  9. Michael Schwartz – 48,000

Event #4: €3,250 No Limit Holdem Shootout

With 141 players the schedule for the No Limit Holdem Shootout event had to be changed from three-days down to just two, so along with the €5K PLO tournament, the €3,250 Shootout event will also crown a winner on Wednesday.

Here is a look at the 20 players who won their first round tables and will be fighting for a WSOP bracelet on Wednesday:

  • Phil Hellmuth – 71,775
  • John Duthie – 63,825
  • Matt Stout – 63,750

  • Michael Ferrell – 63,375
  • Oleksii Kovalchuk – 63,375
  • Giovanni Rosadoni – 63,300
  • Mohsin Charania – 63,000
  • Philippe Boucher – 62,975
  • Roman Romanovskyi – 62,850

Event #5: €10,450 Mixed-Max Holdem tournament

In addition to the two final tables, Wednesday will also see the start of the €10k Mixed-Max event, which should draw yet another star-studded field. Mixed-Max events have been growing in popularity in the past year or so, combining several formats into one event: Day 1 of the tournament starts out with 9-handed table, Day 2 sees the field shift to 6-max, and Day 3 sees the players competing at 4-max tables.

This is the largest buy0in (tied with the Main Event) of the WSOP Europe tournament series other than the non-bracelet Super-High-Roller tournament which features a €50k buy-in with a reentry allowed.
