PokerStars has opened up the voting in two categories for the EPT Awards. The categories that can be voted on include Achievement of the Year (you can choose three from the list) as well as voting for the EPT Player’s Choice Award (a write-in vote for any Season 7 EPT player).

The Award ceremony will take place during the EPT Grand Finale tournament series currently taking place in Madrid, Spain, and is scheduled for May 12th, 2011.

To vote for the awards just follow the link provided [here] and enter your PokerStars ID and full name. Here is a look at the 20 players in the Achievement of the Year category:

Fernando Brito - the Portuguese businessman has dominated the EPT Player of the Year race since EPT London and has the highest number of cashes during a single EPT season. That’s well over €1 million earned in a single season.

Dario Alioto -The 26-year-old PLO specialist from Palermo, Italy, has excelled in Season 7, going deep in six side events. He has been in the top three of three different Awards (Player of the Year, Mixed Games Award and Omaha Player of the Year) for most of the season.

Pierre Neuville - the retired Belgian businessman, now a Friend of PokerStars, has qualified to every single Main Event of EPT Season 7. He has cashed in five Main Events, including 11th at EPT Snowfest, and made the final of the EPT London High Roller. He is now in the top ten of the EPT All-Time Tournament Leader Board, ahead of luminaries such as Kevin MacPhee and Team PokerStars Pros Arnaud Mattern and Jason Mercier.

Roberto Romanello - the popular Welshman touched everyone - players and media alike - with his wonderfully emotional response to winning the EPT Prague Main Event. He sobbed for over 20 minutes.

John O’Shea - the talented Irishman has had seven cashes this season including runner-up in the EPT Prague €10,000 event, runner-up in the EPT Vienna PLO tournament and 17th in the EPT London Main Event. Following Berlin, he was lying fourth in overall Player of the Year, second in the Omaha Award and fourth in the Mixed Game Award.

Galen Hall - the biggest cash of Season 7 goes to American Galen Hall for taking down the PCA Main Event for $2.3 million. The 24-year-old from San Francisco overturned a 5:1 chip lead to beat 21-year-old Floridian Chris Oliver after a final lasting more than nine hours.

Tomer Berda - the Israeli player has cashed in five Main Events in Season 7 including 40th at EPT Berlin for €15,000. His record has helped push Israel up to second place in the Best Country Award. He also came fifth in the EPT Snowest €1,000 event and runner-up in both the EPT London 6-Max £1,000 tourney and the EPT Vilamoura €1,000 event.

Nicolo Calia - the retired software developer from Italy cashed in five events in Season 7. His best result was the season’s debut event in Tallinn where he came seventh for €47,000 but he also made the money at Vilamoura (13th), Barcelona, Deauville and Copenhagen. Overall his Season 7 wins total €101,317.

He also earned an astonishing 1,120 Online Qualifier of the Year Award points - virtually the maximim that anyone can win in one go.

He’s now lying sixth in the worldwide 2011 Money List.

Konstantin Puchkov - the Russian player has competed in at least seven EPT Main Events this season, finishing third at EPT Barcelona for €300,000 and 17th in Berlin. He has also been a prolific participant in EPT side events and has cashed in eight in season 7 including runner-up in the EPT Snowfest €1,000 event, fifth in the same event in Vienna and tenth in the EPT Deauville €2,000 event. He won his EPT Tallinn seat in a live satellite.

Luca Pagano - the prolific Italian Team PokerStars Pro added another four Main Event cashes to his tally in Season 7. He has now cashed a total of 18 times in EPT Main Events - breaking his own record time and time again. He is currently leading the EPT All-Time Tournament Leader Board ahead of fellow team-mate Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier.

Jose Barbero - when Team PokerStars Pro Jose “Nacho” Barbero won the £20,000 High Roller event at EPT London, it was his fourth major victory of 2010. He also won LAPT Lima in June, the inaugural PokerStars.net France Poker Series event in Beaulieu-Sur-Mer in May and LAPT Punta del Este in February.

David Vamplew - Scottish maths graduate Vamplew shot to fame in October when he won the EPT London Main Event for £900,000. Only a day later, he followed it up by winning the PokerStars UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) Tournament of Champions against all the other Season 1 UKIPT winners.

Will Molson - at the 2009 PCA, Will Molson was runner-up to Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier in the $25,000 High Roller. The following year, he was runner-up AGAIN to American William Reynolds so even the most cynical were crossing their fingers for the young Canadian when it came to his third consecutive PCA High Roller final table this January. Thankfully he finally broke his “bridesmaid” curse, defeating Team PokerStars Pro Leo Fernandez heads-up to win a first prize of $1,072,850.

Sami Aro - The Finnish online qualifier won his seat to the 2011 PCA in the Mega-Path satellite series after investing just 100 Frequent Player Points - and cashed for $23,500 - an 146875% ROI.

Max Heinzelmann - runner-up in back-to-back Main Events at EPT Berlin and EPT Sanremo.
