To be eligible for a freeroll tournament, players are typically expected to play anywhere from 40-80 hours in their Poker Room in the space of a month or two. Instead, the Wynn has decided to do things a little differently this time. The Wynn will award 13 free entries to a variety of its events, including a seat in the $10,200 main event in an effort to promote its yearly Wynn Classic. The promotion giving away the seats is already under way so players should get in on the action now.
For each hour a player logs at the Wynn Poker Room , they earn an electronic ticket to 13 drawings that will be February 16-19. The system rewards loyal players by giving them more chances to win for each hour spent at the tables but also offers something to the casual player who doesn’t have much time to spend at the tables. There will be four drawings a day on February 16, 17 and 18 at 11am, 3pm, 7pm and 11pm. They will be giving away nine seats to one of the Wynn’s $1,060 events and three seats to the Wynn’s $2,080 event on March 13. The final and most anticipated drawing will be at 7pm on February 19 for a $10,200 seat in the main event which is scheduled to begin March 16. Players must be present to collect their prize.
The Wynn Classic gets under way on February 26 and concludes March 19. There are four $545 events, nine $1,060 events, one $1,575 and one $3,100 event as well as the main event. Most of the events are no limit hold’em but two events in Omaha eight or better and a pot limit Omaha rebuy event are scheduled.
