You have to be able to stay disciplined. If you can do that, then you are going to be able to stay away from tilt. Be Patient
Okay, we have all gone through this before. When you get a bad beat or something screwed up happens; it can be easy to feel like you need to make a move. You might feel like you have to get that money back right away or maybe you just need to do something because you are so mad you cannot figure out what else to do. Just be patient; your time will come when it is meant to be. You cannot force anything in poker.
Be Confident
Confidence is one of the best attributes of a good poker player. It will help you feel better while you are playing and give you what you need to make good moves. You have to be confident in your playing style and believe that you can outplay anyone. Without that, you might as well just be playing blackjack.

Smart poker players know that bad things are going to happen. It is just part of the game. The smart level-headed player will find a way to get through without going into full tilt.
Going on tilt is going to screw you up a lot more times then it is going to help you.
