Carlos Mortensen moved to the U.S.A. from Spain in the early 90’s. He is widely considered the last poker professional to win the WSOP Main Event, which he did in 2001. He is widely known as “El Matador.” He is a good bluffer, has an uncanny approach to the game, and is well known for his odd ways to stack his chips during a poker game. He is the first person in poker history To win both the WSOP Main Event and WPT Championship. He has a degree in both Physics and mathematics – a great combination for poker play.
